Addressed Admail Potential Acceptance of Alternative Sizes
- Details
Fraser Direct has been lobbying Canada Post to review the mailing categories of Addressed Admail over the past few years. The current number of categories and size restrictions creates situations where the mailer chooses to cancel the promotion; or chooses to work with other methods of marketing/shipping their product within Canada.
Canada Post has recently indicated that they may approve more options on a case by case basis. If you are planning any Direct Mail projects where the dimensions do not meet the current specifications, please provide us with the product dimensions, anticipated quantities and mail date. Fraser Direct will approach Canada Post with the information and work with them to encourage acceptance of the mail pieces.
Remember, the mail piece must meet the Addressed Admail definition:
Mailable items, bearing a uniform message, that:
- Promotes the sale or use of products or services;
- Report on financial performance, primarily for promotional purposes; or
- Solicit donations or contributions
